It's official! May 17th was the big move and we now live in our new place. This is me opening the door for the first time. I have to admit I was pretty excited! I just wish Scott could've been here to share in the fun (and the work!!). The move itself went well. Hmm, except for the curse of Murphy's Law. It just so happened that it was the hottest day of the hottest weekend of the year so far and we were all sweating buckets! It didn't help that Brennen woke me up at 5am that morning with a 101.6 temp and a croupy cough (we took him to urgent care later that day and found out he had bronchitis and an ear infection- fun stuff!). Thankfully a good friend from church took Brennen for the day so I could focus on the move. We also ended up being short on moving trailers. Which made the move last a little longer then what all the guys (AWESOME guys from church!!) thought it would. I really didn't think we had that much stuff...
Anyways, they rocked it out and spent a good six hours going back and forth between houses getting everything moved. Thank goodness the new house is only a couple of miles from the old house which made that aspect of the move easier. I really can't thank the Elder's Quorum and Young Men (& Sonrisa & the Humphery's!!) from my ward enough! They worked so hard and were so willing to help me out! I have been so blessed and humbled to have so much service rendered to me, not only with this move, but the over the last seven months that Scott has been deployed. I have truly felt the Lord's hand in answering my prayers and helping me through. It's amazing how the Lord works and how He knows exactly what I need even when I didn't know it. I'm just so excited to have Scott home soon. It's getting closer and closer and we're finally down to the single digits!! I just can't wait to have my best friend (and my shopping buddy) ;) back home with me and our babies.
Other news about the kids- the night before we moved was the last night Brennen slept in his crib. I took a picture of him right before bed and I almost started crying. I had been so worried about how he was going to handle the transition from crib to twin bed that I didn't realize it was really me having the issue. I'm just having a hard time believing my baby boy is growing up and is no longer my baby. Now the crib is sitting in pieces in his new room and every time I look at it I get a little sad. Brennen doesn't seem to care much. He has had no problems in his big boy bed and has discovered how much fun it is to jump on and off of. I'm just waiting for that one day I hear a big thud...
Lindie has also had a little bit of a traumatic week. More teeth have popped up! Yes, my baby girl now has 6 teeth, with 2 more cutting through any day, and one more coming soon! The poor thing has been in so much pain, but has been such a trooper. I've been amazed at well she has adjusted to the new house, her new room, and her new teeth! She's just been the happiest little thing and showing off those new pearly whites every chance she gets. Unfortunately, she hasn't shown them to the camera yet, but I'll keep working on getting that shot! :)
